The movement
course of the seasonal birds is usually from the
breeding place in the high latitudes of the Northern
Hemisphere to the place for passing the winter in
the low latitudes because most continents are in
the Northern Hemisphere and there are a few continents
of high latitudes in the Southern Hemisphere. According
to this course, the birds seems to choose the shortest
way from north to south, but most seasonal birds
get out of 7000-8000 meters' mountain ranges and
oceans in the way.
Winter Birds
They usually breed in Siberia from spring till summer, and
they visit Korea in autumn and pass the winter. They go
back to the north in spring. They are wild geese, ducks,
swans, and cranes.
Summer Birds
They come from Southeast Asia in spring and breed in Korea,
and they go back to the south in Autumn. They stay in Korea
from late in April or early in May till early or mid in
September. They are nightingales, cuckoos, swallows, and
egrets.
Passing Birds
They breed in the north of Korea and pass the winter in
the south of Korea. They pass Korea to go to the north or
south in autumn. They are snipes and plovers.
