Geumgang Birdwatch Tour Tidal Flat Experience Tour Gogunsan Islands Round Trip   [The Road of Cherry Blossoms ] The Road of Cherry Blossoms in 40km long section between Jeonju and Gunsan is one of the best site for viewing cherry blossoms like Jinhae Gunhang Festival. It was made up by planting 6,374 cherry trees under the sponsorship of the Association of Jeollabukdo People in Gwandong area of Japan, when the two-lane road between Jeonju and Gunsan was widened to the four-lane road named Beonyeongno. About 2,000 cherry trees in 18.2 km road, about a half of the road belonged to Gunsan, form a tunnel of cherry blossoms in spring. The International Cherry Blossom Marathon Race is held every year at the time when the cherry trees are in full bloom, which makes it possible to introduce the beautiful road of cherry blossoms to all over the world.
